A sociological survey conducted by VTsIOM revealed the preferences of Russian men and women when choosing their soul mate.
First of all, men are worried about female beauty - 27% of the stronger sex called it the main advantage of a woman. In second place is intelligence: this is important for 17% of men. In addition, the chosen one should have such qualities as sincerity (15%), kindness (13%) and thriftiness (9%). But hard work, reliability and honesty were in the list of qualities necessary for a woman in the last places, gaining only 1-2% of the votes.
Women's preferences look different. In the first place for them is honesty - this is what 23% of the women surveyed answered, in the second and third - kindness (20%) and reliability (16%). But the mind was called a quality necessary for men by only 11% of women, beauty - only 5%.
True, both men and women showed complete unanimity in the need for certain qualities in their partner: for example, loyalty in their soulmate is valued by 7% of both.
Russians consider a common circle of friends to be the best option for finding a future life partner (43%), and every fourth would prefer to have a relationship at work or in an educational institution. By the way, most of the respondents got to know their future partner in these places - a total of 65% of them. It was just that 9% of respondents met their fate on the street, 4% in various courses, and only 1% in theaters.
