During the show, a spark got inside a bottle of oil that the chef was holding in his hands. But instead of getting rid of the burning container, he pressed the bottle harder, which caused a real fiery jet. The oil in the frying pan where the fish was fried followed, and it splashed on the audience of the show.
Eight people suffered from the cook's mistake, some of them had their clothes on fire. A large amount of oil fell on two boys from Yekaterinburg, three and a half and ten years old. One of them received third-degree burns; 27% of the baby's skin, including his face, was burnt. The second child suffered a little less, but was also urgently taken to the hospital. The boys' father told the press about the incident.
The hotel management pleaded guilty to the incident, paid for the stay of the children in the hospital, the family's flight home and the continuation of treatment in Russia. The parents decided not to make any claims to the hotel, but said that they were disappointed with the behavior of Russian tourists. Many of them, instead of helping the boys, began filming the incident on their phones.
The doctors of Yekaterinburg announced their readiness to accept the victims in the hospital and continue treatment until their complete recovery.
