For three years, Yuri Antonov suffered from knee pain after a trauma. Only a complex operation to replace the joint with an artificial one could solve the problem, for the sake of which the singer went to Vienna. Today he said that the surgical procedures were successful.
In 2018, Yuri Antonov suffered a knee injury during an unsuccessful fall, since then he has been constantly tormented by pain. Despite the fact that soon the singer underwent surgery, he did not feel any noticeable improvements. In 2020, the artist decided on a second surgery, but it did not bring the desired result either. The doctors were unanimous: in order to get rid of the pain, Yuri Mikhailovich needs to remove the damaged joint and replace it with an artificial one.
It is not easy to decide on such an operation, realizing that after it there will be a long and painful rehabilitation: the artist tried to endure the pain steadfastly, but due to constant discomfort he could not perform and lead his usual lifestyle: he even had to postpone the concert dedicated to the 75-year-old anniversary. After that, Yuri Mikhailovich nevertheless agreed to replace the joint. The operation took place in Vienna, the performer told about this in the microblog.
“Now I am in Vienna in a private clinic, where I underwent a very difficult operation to replace an artificial joint, the operation lasted more than three hours! Very painful! But now I'm coming to my senses! " - wrote the singer.
According to him, the staff in the chosen clinic is very attentive to him, and the wards are arranged so that during the rehabilitation the patient feels as comfortable as possible. The singer will remain in Austria for the duration of his recovery, but fans are eagerly awaiting his return to the stage.
