Classics in the dark
One of the most common childhood fears is the fear of the dark. Babies often think that something dangerous may be lurking in a dark room. Why it happens? We are used to relying on our eyesight, and we perceive information from other senses as "secondary". And when our eyes are unable to see the surrounding objects in the dark, the brain can give us an "alarm signal". To cope with this fear, you need to teach your child to "listen" to the darkness. This, by the way, is exactly what the creators of the new immersive show "Classics in the Dark" are doing. On October 5, they will plunge into total darkness the huge auditorium of Crocus City Hall.
The guests of the evening will have a unique opportunity to hear the works of A. Pärt, M. Ravel, A. Vivaldi, A. Glazunov, R. Shchedrin, D. Shostakovich, S. Barber and other classics performed by the Synergy Orchestra. The composer, friend and colleague of Astor Piazzolla, the greatest accordionist of our time, Richard Galliano, will take the stage.
The purpose of this experiment is to immerse the viewer in the world of sounds, to reset the perception of the world around us, to compare such concepts as music and noise, conversation and silence, emptiness and love.

Two masters, who have combined their talents, will tell the public a new variation on the "Snow Show" theme, which was created by Polunin 25 years ago. In the performance, clown recitals are harmoniously combined with instrumental pieces performed by Gidon Kremer and his chamber orchestra Kremerata Baltica. In the performance, impeccable musical numbers are replaced by circus ones. According to the creators of the show, minimalist music played the role of the White Clown, who must always oppose the Redhead, in the Snow Symphony.
