Exhibition-game "Life of Wonderful Things"

An exhibition-game "Life of Wonderful Things" is starting at the Museum of Moscow, which presents the works of young artists from the creative workshop "DEZ No. 5" under the direction of the architect Mikhail Labazov. His studio (free) practices an unusual format of classes: children come and work with their parents. They sculpt, glue and, most importantly, invent. Among the exhibits are a negotiating table, a life jacket from everything, a bear of truth, a conflict extinguisher, a shell of pacification and other large-scale art objects. These are a kind of bridges between the bright world of childhood and the complex world of adults. In each exhibition section, the curators have placed objects from the museum collection that complement children's works. For example, in the “protection” section, next to Dez’s “life jacket from everything,” “personal space,” and “anti-rain,” you can see a museum story about the aerostatic defense of Moscow, built around the documentary and, at the same time, fantastic graphics by Anatoly Kokorin.

Exhibition "Mission Matryoshka"

The exhibition at the All-Russian Museum of Decorative Arts will feature nesting dolls painted based on the costumes of different peoples of Russia and other countries. All murals were created by hand by inmates of orphanages, each matryoshka is “dressed” in the costume of the people represented by the authors. Before creating this or that image, the children did a real research work: they studied crafts, folk costume, ornaments and folklore of their native land.

The exhibition will also feature images of rag dolls in folk costumes, which were created by children throughout the past year. Another important part of the exposition will be authentic folk costumes of the regions of Russia. In past years, matryoshka dolls created by children with the support of the Mission Foundation have left as recognition to famous philanthropists: one of them, for example, became a gift for Angelina Jolie.

“Comfort and Reason. Fragments of the artistic life of Moscow in the 90s"

The Vkhutemasists of the 1920s in the Museum of Moscow are giving way to the younger conceptualists of the 90s: the exhibition "Comfort and Reason" opens here - a reconstruction of the artistic life of the city in the first post-Soviet decade. The title of the exposition is borrowed from the text-reflections of Pavel Pepperstein "Comfort and Reason" about the power of language. More than 200 works will be presented in the halls of the museum: from painting and graphics to video art and installations.

The basis of the exposition is the work of the art groups "Inspection" Medical Hermeneutics "," Cloud Commission "," Russia "," TARTu "," FenSo "," Fourth Height ". The members of these associations belong to the younger generation of Moscow conceptualists, which was formed by the end of the 1980s. The heroes of their works often dream, invent alternative worlds for themselves, like in films or computer games, blur the boundaries between dream and reality. Thus, the leading motive of the exhibition in the Museum of Moscow will be a dream, which the artists of this trend considered the highest manifestation of personal freedom. Also, for the first time, several installations were created specifically for the project based on drawings and sketches of the 1990s.

The artists got the opportunity to look at their ideas 20 years later and implement them in the halls of the Museum of Moscow. Among such works - "Marshak Celestial Tavrichesky (Yurt-caste)" by artists Dmitry Ligeiros and Arkady Nasonov from the "Cloud Commission", "Room behind the partition. State Apartment on Rechny "and" The End of the USSR "by Sergei Anufriev, Pavel Pepperstein and Vladimir Fedorov from the" Inspection "Medical Hermeneutics".

Contemporary kinetic art "Crossing the space"

In the Tsarskaya Tower Gallery of the Kazan Station, with the participation of the Triumph Gallery, a group exhibition “Crossing the Space” was opened, which comprehends the key ideas of kineticism through the metaphor of the path. This is a kind of spin-off of the project “Laboratory of the Future. Kinetic Art in Russia”at the New Tretyakov Gallery: almost all the same artists participate in it, and the unusual solution of the exposition attracts tik-tok lovers.

However, the exhibition in the Tsarskaya Tower is an independent and distinctive product. Each of the sections of the exhibition - "Movement", "Space" and "Infinity" addresses topical issues of conceptual searches of contemporary artists. The exposition offers a new look at the primacy of space over time, rooted in Russian culture - it is time, "chronos", which is primarily considered here as an independent category. Art objects in the exhibition can be touched.

Some of them start working when they notice the movement of a visitor. Here you can also get acquainted with the work of contemporary poets. Poems by Natalia Azarova from the collection “Calendar. Fortune-telling book”presented at the exhibition may turn out to be a reference book for many, reading them - one for each day - will become a daily ritual, personal prediction, a fulcrum for imagination on the topic of the future day.
