On International Day of Culture, April 15, users of one of the largest multimedia services will see the premiere of Placido Domingo's Gala Concert. "Spring. Love. Opera". On the air of the TV channel "Russia - Culture" the concert will appear on May 10.
On the historical stage of the State Academic Bolshoi Theater of Russia (Bolshoi Theater), the famous Spanish tenor and conductor, world opera record holder for the number of parts performed and the favorite of the Russian public, Placido Domingo gathered the world's best voices: the brilliant soprano Aida Garifullina, the magnificent bel canto tenor Javier Camarena, the rock bass baritone Erwin Schrott and guest soloists of the Bolshoi Theater Oksana Dyka (soprano) and Maria Kataeva (mezzo-soprano), who conquered the world's leading opera stages.
The concert recording made by the Russia-Kultura TV channel will be shown for the first time on the Okko online cinema platform. The Russia-Kultura TV channel has a unique experience in recording concerts at the best music venues in the country, which allows it to display a musical event in all its richness of sound and visual nuances and create for listeners the effect of complete immersion in the atmosphere of a real auditorium, show a live celebration of music and theater.
Placido Domingo and the soloists performed arias and duets from operas by G. Verdi, G. Puccini, V.-A. Mozart, G. Rossini, A. Thomas, C. Gounod, G. Donizetti, V. Bellini, as well as the famous Neapolitan songs. The concert ended with an unexpected and touching gift - a kind of tribute to the Russian public: Placido Domingo and the world opera stars sang together the famous song by Vasily Solovyov-Sedoy "Moscow Nights". The concert was attended by the Symphony Orchestra of the Bolshoi Theater of Russia, conductor - Anton Grishanin.
