Experts have come to the conclusion that claims about the dangers of drinking coffee are clearly exaggerated. It turned out that it is not only not dangerous for the cardiovascular system, but can also have a beneficial effect on it.

Scientists conducted studies that aimed to determine the relationship between ventricular and atrial heart rhythm disturbances and caffeine intake. More than 228 thousand people took part in the scientific work and it turned out that the risk of atrial fibrillation when drinking coffee is reduced.

Experts noted that only isolated cases testify to the dangers of coffee. Caffeine blocks the action of adenosine, which promotes atrial fibrillation, and acts as a nervous system stimulant. It has been noted that ventricular arrhythmia is not affected by a daily dose of caffeine of 500 mg per day. At the same time, in patients who had myocardial infarction and received about 353 mg of caffeine per day, they noticed a normalization of the heart rate.
As for the increased risk of ventricular arrhythmias, it was observed only in those people who abused coffee, drinking 9-10 cups daily. Scientists have concluded that the average daily safe dose is about 300 mg.
