There is still no consensus among scientific researchers about the benefits or dangers of drinking milk for people of mature age. But for children who do not have individual intolerance, dairy products are considered useful due to the presence of a large amount of vitamins and minerals necessary for the body to grow. Canadian experts have come to the conclusion that adults should not give up milk, as its use is directly related to life expectancy.

Scientists at McMaster University said that three servings of dairy products help reduce the risk of heart disease and premature death. They invited 136 384 people from 21 countries to take part in the study, the age of volunteers was limited to 35-70 years. Experts determined the diet of the subjects and monitored their health for just over nine years. During this period, 8555 cases of cardiovascular diseases and 6796 deaths were recorded.
One serving of dairy products included a glass of milk or yogurt, 15 grams of cheese, or 5 grams of butter. The participants were divided into four groups according to the number of servings they ate daily. It turned out that people who ate the maximum amount of dairy products reduced their risk of premature death by 2.2% compared to those who did not. It is noteworthy that even non-fat dairy products are recognized as useful.

So far, scientists have not found the exact reason for the connection between milk consumption and longevity, but they are ready to admit that there is one. They emphasize that the health benefits are due to the presence of unsaturated fats, vitamins A, D, E, K, B, potassium, magnesium, calcium, and probiotics in the product. Previously, researchers called for it to be consumed for breakfast and called it an excellent aid in the fight against obesity.
