Have you ever watched serious bodybuilders workout at your fitness club? They are always as concentrated as possible and seem to be deep in themselves, in part because they shield themselves from external stimuli with headphones of impressive size, from which, as a rule, hard rock is heard. And it's not about the brutality of these guys, but the fact that this kind of music magically increases the production of testosterone, which, in turn, plays a key role in building muscles.

Remember the cases of sudden outbursts of teenage aggression at rock concerts - this wayward hormone is to blame for everything. Assertive hip-hop can have a similar effect, Dwayne Scala Johnson, for example, often listens to Public Enemy and 2Pac during training. Another beneficial effect of heavy music is that it distracts the brain from muscle tension signals and lowers the pain threshold, which results in you doing one or two more repetitions, working to your limit.

Rhythmic music is worth stocking up for aerobic workouts. Our body responds to it on a physical level: we want to move, stamp our feet, snap our fingers. Recent studies show that a person sitting still while listening to pleasant, rhythmic music irritates the areas of the brain that are responsible for motor skills and coordination. Involuntarily, we try to synchronize our movements according to the beat of the beat, turning the sounds of music into a kind of metronome. Especially pleasant and familiar to the heart, melodies can provoke the release of endorphins, thanks to which the process of fat burning will go even better.

For cardio training, it is better to choose professionally mixed sets, where there are no jumps between tracks, and if the speed changes, it is insignificant and almost imperceptible. Techno with its even rhythmic pattern is ideal, because it is "the music of the machines" for a reason. A pace in the range of 135-140 bpm will merge with the heart rate, and you will receive an additional source of energy. It makes no sense to listen to faster music for such purposes, on the contrary, there is a possibility that fatigue will come earlier than you expect.

An interesting fact: rhythmic music provokes microspasms in the muscles, during cardio training it does not matter, but during heavy power loads it can cause injury.

This is the case with calm, relaxing sounds. For yoga or stretching, you can't imagine better, but when the muscles are at their maximum tone, relaxing them will be a bad idea. So every workout has its own music.

Include in the playlist everything that you associate with pleasant memories, maybe it will even be the soundtrack to your favorite movie. Recognizable melodies help better than brand new ones - don't overload your brain with unnecessary work. For the same reason, avoid listening to audiobooks while exercising. Active attention should still be focused on muscle work. If you listen to music on your phone, especially during aerobic exercise, do not forget to turn off the network to avoid receiving calls that instantly knock you out of rhythm and the desired mood.
