On April 6, 2015, on the International Day of Sports, established by the UN General Assembly, the Russian Olympic Committee (ROC) gave a symbolic start to the new summer sports season in our country. The action was joined not only by amateur athletes, but also by stars.
As part of the action timed to coincide with the International Day of Sports, the Russian Olympic Committee invites all amateur athletes to take part in the competition on social networks VKontakte or Instagram and receive prizes with Olympic symbols.
To participate in the competition, you need to choose:
- run at least 5 km
- walk at least 10 thousand steps
- ride a bike at least 15 km
Further, the participants of the competition need to post in their accounts in social networks VKontakte or Instagram a message of their any fitness application (which can calculate the distance) for smartphones or its screenshot, confirming that the athlete has completed the task, and supplement it with the hashtags # Sport4BetterFuture and #MyDenSport.
In each category, 10 participants who ran, passed or passed the longest distances that day will receive prizes with Olympic symbols, and the absolute winners will receive real jerseys of the Russian Ice Hockey Team.
The Russian Olympic Committee also invited famous athletes and stars of Russian show business to take part in the symbolic relay race on social networks Facebook, Instagram and Twitter, timed to coincide with this day.
In their publications with the official hashtags # Sport4BetterFuture and #MyDenSports, the relay participants will share their goals for the upcoming sports season (master a new sport, improve their performance) and encourage their friends and subscribers to lead an active lifestyle.
It is assumed that everyone will pass the baton 2-3 to their friends, who will also join this action, thereby motivating more and more people to go in for sports.
