The beginning of the running season will launch the most massive spring start in Moscow. On April 9, 2017, the April 5 km race will take place on the territory of the Luzhniki Olympic Complex.
In 2013, 784 people took part in this race, after five years already 6,000 runners will start. The rapid growth of the project is driving important changes. This year the competition has changed its name (former name - "First Race"). For the first time, April will be held as an independent running event with its own concept and corporate identity.
Spring is the best time to resume your outdoor running workouts. With the arrival of the first heat, thousands of people will go to the start with new goals, desires and aspirations. Vera Zvonareva, a famous tennis player and public figure, will come to support the runners and run 5 km with them.
The traditional special partner of the race is the Arithmetic of Kindness charitable foundation, each participant has the opportunity to become a good runner, thereby helping the fund raise funds for education and career guidance programs for orphans.
This year, the organizers are expecting a large number of fans. Their emotional support from year to year gives runners more strength and confidence on the way to the finish line.
The route of the April race will pass around the Luzhniki Olympic Complex: along Novoluzhnetskiy proezd and Luzhnetskaya embankment. Participants will have views of Moscow City, Vorobyevskaya Embankment, the Moscow State University building and the Luzhniki Grand Sports Arena.
