Whiskas® in collaboration with renowned musician David Teye present a unique composition created especially for cats. You can listen to the original track titled "Life is Purrrring" and a full-fledged playlist that has a beneficial effect on pets at Whiskas.ru - or join the online music broadcast, which will take place on August 18 on the eve of World Day of Homeless Animals for Pets at the Nika Foundation Shelter.

Our pets, like us, want to enjoy life as much as possible. To make the life of pets even more humorous, Whiskas® teamed up with musician David Teye to create a unique song called Life Is Humorous.
Cellist David Teye was a soloist with the American National Symphony Orchestra for 20 years before studying the phenomena of music on animals and recording a unique compilation for cats. In order to turn his idea into reality, David Teillet conducted a scientific study involving musicians, veterinarians and several dozen cats. Researchers concluded that seals truly relax when they hear vibrations close to their purring range. “Cats listen to sounds at different frequencies than humans, so we have created a piece of music that matches their unique sound range,” explains the musician.

Pets were allowed to listen to classical music that has a beneficial effect on people, as well as special compositions for cats. The best effect on animals was produced by sounds two octaves higher than the usual feline "vocal". Reactions were assessed by movements in the direction of sound - friction, purring, and sniffing. So, 15 cats out of 47 became more peaceful after hearing special compositions, while only two of them also calmed down to human music.
Every cat and his owner can listen to David's unique tracks! The Whiskas.ru website now has a whole section with a music album for pets and a David Teye playlist, which you can add to your device and listen to "cat music" anytime, anywhere.
In addition, on August 18, on the eve of World Stray Animals Day, Whiskas® will host an online music broadcast for the pets of the Nika Foundation Shelter *. The live broadcast will take place on the official Youtube channel of the Foundation at 18:00. Viewers will not only hear special tracks for their favorites, but will also have the opportunity to see with their own eyes the reaction of cats to purring compositions online. During the broadcast, everyone will be able to support the Nika Foundation, which helps many Russian orphanages to make the life of cats "purr". Users can make a donation to the Foundation right during the viewing, and also see the "very" cat, which later - who knows? - will be taken to the family

Knowing that "cat music" reduces the level of anxiety of animals, Whiskas® decided to help not only pets of shelters, but also patients of veterinary clinics, because there cats are stressed more often than at home. So, with the support of the brand, special relaxation zones will be created and installed in the veterinary clinics Biokontrol, Skolkovo Vet, IVC MVA West, IVC MVA Vostok, Movet, Center on Tsvetnoy Boulevard. Cozy "relaxation houses" are equipped with speakers with special soothing music for cats at a frequency of 20 Hz from a playlist from David Teil and Whiskas®. A few minutes in such an anti-stress space - and the pet's mood can change for the better. In addition, speakers with music will be located in veterinarians' offices so that the examination would be as calm as possible.
